About the Role
As Sports & Rec Sylvia Park’s Venue Manager, you’ll take ownership of the overall venue operation, leading your team to deliver great experiences while driving strong operational and commercial performance.
You’ll thrive in a busy, high-energy environment and be confident leading across all areas of the business. With strong leadership, a passion for hospitality and a solid commercial mindset, you’ll know how to build a high-performing team, deliver consistently great service and keep the venue running smoothly when things get busy.
You’ll be across the people, service and numbers that keep Sports & Rec performing at its best.
Lead, coach and develop a high-performing venue team
Set the standard for energetic, memorable guest experiences
Own financial performance, including sales growth, labour and wage management, cost control and profitability
Oversee day-to-day venue operations and maintain high standards across the business
Build a strong team culture where people feel supported, challenged and motivated
Work closely with operational leaders and support teams to deliver wider business initiatives
About You
We’re looking for someone who’s:

A people-first operator: approachable, supportive and invested in developing others
Commercially switched on: comfortable owning the numbers, identifying opportunities and driving results
A hospitality person at heart: passionate about great service, quality and creating an atmosphere guests want to come back to
Hands-on: happy leading from the floor and jumping in when needed, particularly when the venue is at its busiest
