The Gipsy Moth and Little Gipsy is on the lookout for a motivated part-time Commis Chef who’s ready to learn and grow in a fast-paced kitchen. You’ll help with preparing and cooking dishes, keeping your workspace clean, and supporting senior chefs during busy service periods. You’ll follow recipes, maintain food safety standards, and take pride in producing delicious, high-quality food.
We’re looking for someone with at least one year’s kitchen or hospitality experience and a cookery or food safety qualification such as NCEA Level 3 or equivalent. You’ll bring a passion for food, reliability, and the drive to keep improving your skills as part of a fun, hardworking team.
As this a is 7-day business we want someone who is available to work most days. this role would suit someone wanting a second job or who is currently studying.
A good understanding of New Zealand cuisine and the ability to communicate clearly in written and oral forms is a must.
